CHARACTER RULES

1. Your first character must start anew, after your first character as been accepted, been the lab and won at least one badge then you are eligible to ask the mod team for the privilege to have a character that has a pokemon team. If granted you may create a character with a team up to level 25. A team is 6 pokemon at the most. However, the team must be approved by the staff team first before you post the character.

2. Your character must be human the first time around, but after that you may make pokemorph character if you wish. This is to keep the population of humans to pokemorphs somewhat even. You can create almost any kind of pokemorph that you want, even things like a Werepokemon or a vampire type creature, but it's subject to the Administrator's discretion if the character will be accepted. However, Ditto and legendary pokemorphs are not permitted.

3. An exception to the rule above is if you wish to play a wild pokemon. They can be any level subject to the discretion of the administrators, but for now the level cap rests at level 25. This will be changed as the forum needs it to.

4. All characters should be over the age of 10, but over the age of 13 is preferable but not required. All characters should be non-canon unless you ask the staff about a specific character you wish to make.

5. Your profiles will be looked over by an Administrator to see if they comply with Character Rules and fit the criteria of a profile as well as if they are a well rounded character.

6. There is no character limit, however do not make more characters than you can keep up with. The staff team will not accept your characters if we think you have too many already. This means we believe that you are close to overloaded already with your characters.

7. Characters can be rped on one account if you wish or you can have separate ones if it suits you. Also, character log should be in your signature at all time for easy reference. You may post a log in the Log Books board under the Characters category.

CHARACTER GUIDELINES

A character is a a personality, history, appearance etc. that you make up for the sole purpose of roleplaying. It does not have to be based off yourself in the least and can be the exact opposite of yourself if you wanted it to be. However, there's a few things that you ought to be aware of. Do not create gary-sue's or mary-sue's which are those goody-two-shoes people who are perfect in every way and have never had a bad thing happen to them. Also characters that are all powerful are quite annoying and end up being a problem in the way of power-playing and god-modding in the future so those characters are discouraged as well.

We do however encourage diversity, originality and just some wonderful imagination when making your character. Do something that you would never think of if you want. Make the character have some weird god complex or make the most naive character on earth. We really don't have a problem with anything that you could come up with as long as the character is dynamic and interesting as well as having the potential to develop and become something more then it was when it was created. Take leaps of faith and change things up a bit from the usual if you wish. Enjoy the process of making your character so that you'll enjoy playing the character as well.

Here is a sample template for human/pokemorph characters for you to use if you wish. You are not limited to this template however.
