( SHUI TAKESHI ) ||no pokemon yet||
Shui Takeshi was on her one, away from her so called parents and so happy she could jump off the ship and swim the rest of the way, but she knew better. She looked around for a moment and then back ahead, hoping that everything was going to happen without a hitch. Not many people were on the ship, a few deck hands and that was about it. She shoulder her bag a bit more, her whole body was hot, it did not matter if it was winter, her heart was beating wildly in her chest and she was ready to go.
As the ship docked and said people could leave, she was gone, running down the road towards the pokemon lab she had heard so much about. Maybe they knew her friend? She doubted it, it had been years, in fact, it had been three years. She doubted they would remember one boy from three years ago. She smiled, finally coming to a walk and catching her breath. Her true parents would be ashamed... She was not in very good shape it seemed, but she quickly started her run again.
Sweat was coming down her face and as she saw the sigh for the lab, she had a hard time slowing. Finally, she was standing right in front of the building and she smiled slightly. This was it, this was her time to shine, her turn to write a story about adventure. "Well, lets go Shui." She smiled and headed up, opening the door to the lab and sliding in without making much noise. She saw a dexk and a bell and softly tapped the bell to make the sound.
She pushed back her crimson red hair, pulled on her shirt to help get some air on her now sweaty body. She was happy she had been able to get into the shower room on the ship. She smelt good at least, but one would tell she had been running. Her legs were sore from the running, really sore and she knew when she got her pokemon, she would have to stop and rest a little longer. As she was about to lean against the wall, she heard walking, standing up straight and saw the door begin to creep open.

PROFESSOR THEOS;
The Professor was currently dealing with a rather ornery pokemon that had just been sent to him an hour ago by a trainer. He already wanted to strangle the little pokemon with his bare hands but he refrained as he attempted to be patient enough to deal with the annoying Rattata. The purple and cream rodent was rushing around taking a bit out of everything that it could find and it had just gotten ahold of Theos' research. It hadn't bitten through it yet but the pokemon was backed into a corner with the report still in his mouth.
Professor Theos darted in and grabbed the rodent like pokemon by the scruff of its neck and hauled it into the air before prying open the pokemon's jaws with one hand and extracting the papers from the Rattata's mouth. He gave a look of disgust at the saliva that now covered the corner of the report before directing a glare at the purple pokemon and still holding it he laid the report down. Taking the rodent across the room in his hand he found the pokeball for the rodent and pressed the button, sucking the pokemon straight into it as he gave a sigh of relief.
All of a sudden there was a ding and he immediately began to rush around the lab trying to find that list of pokemon that he had laid down when he was dealing with the rodent pokemon. Urgh he groaned as he tore through his desk and then finally he remembered that he had stuck it in his lab coat pocket. Fishing it out he gave a look of disgust towards himself before walking quickly to the door. Pushing it open he entered into the lobby before turning to his right.
There was a young lady to receive her first pokemon and with that Theos smiled and nodded to her as he handed her the phamplet of pokemon. "These are the pokemon that we have currently. There is also a list of supplies on the back that you will receive as well. Choose wisely, you only get one shot." He then crossed his arms over his chest and waited for her reply.

Shui was nervous, she did not know why, but she just was a little bit nervous. Maybe it was because she had never been around someone who knew so much about pokemon. Sure, her… Step parents new enough, but they did not now everything. She was probably was going to make a complete fool of herself, she normally did, it would not be a rare thing for her. She was just a crazy girl who did her best to make it through life. It did not matter though, she was here now, why was so worried about nothing. She could not do anything, she could just sit here and hope that something good world happen, or maybe she would get lucky and be able to get a good pokemon.
She could hear something going on behind the door that she figured lead to the research area of the lab… She was not completely sure, but she would figure it out sooner or later. She was so tired too, but she listened to a commotion and hoping that she was not in the middle of some robbery or something, of course… Wouldn’t someone stand watch if something bad was going down? She did not know, she had never been in a situation like that before, she only watched that stuff on television and on the news. She rubbed the back of her head, nearly learning against the wall when someone came out. She nearly jumped when she door opened, but she had been able to hold her own composure.
The guy gave her a smile and she returned it of course, her crimson hair was in her face a bit, but she did her best to keep it out from around her eyes so she could see him clearly. He handed a pamphlet and took it without much problem. ”These are the pokemon that we have currently. There is also a list of supplies on the back that you will receive as well. Choose wisely, you only get one shot." She looked back up at him and then nodded before looking back down at the pamphlet, taking in everything, thinking of what she would want from the lab. The Pichu and the Snivy were the two that really caught her eyes but she could not decide. She finally smiled and handed it back. ”The Pichu.” She knew that is what she wanted, it had to be one of the best and she could evolve it one day into a Raichu, that would be the best pokemon ever.

Theos just gave a nod as he noticed her smile but otherwise didn't show anything as he had handed the pamphlet to her. He was a bit subdued today, what with the Rattata incident and all and wasn't all that thrilled about being stuck answering trainers all day even if it was part of his job description. But trainers like the one in front of him made it worth it because they always managed to answer quickly and without too much thought that took too long in his opinion. It was a pokemon, just pick one.
Sure it was a companion, but it wasn't a life or death situation to the Professor if they picked the wrong one. Then she made a decision as could be evidenced from the smile on her face and the way that she handed the pamphlet back to him. Taking it from her he noted her request and then opened the door before moving into the lab quickly, dropping the leaflet on his desk on his way back to the storage room. He'd have to remember where he put it this time he vowed as he pushed open the storage room door and flicked the light on so that he could see.
A quick look around and then he found the Pichu pokeballs. Grabbing a random one off the shelf he turned the light off and exited the room, closing the door behind him as he did so. Picking up a box of supplies off the shelf he left the lab by pushing the door open with his shoulder before tossing the Pichu's pokeball at the girl and then handing her the box. He just smiled as he spoke, "Take good care of the Pichu and good luck with your journey." With that he would exit the lobby and return to the laboratory to continue his work.
